ATF FILTER KIT ON POST-92 SVX

I have the Subaru external filter kit with hoses that was designed for the 92 SVX. I thought I would install it on my 96 and then get a full tranny flush.

I downloaded the TSB on how to install it so that I could give it to my mechanic for installation. Here are my questions:

1. Since I have the newer radiator without the mesh screen in the cooler how important is it to backflush the cooler? It says not to bypass this procedure.

2. The TSB refers to various "figures" (diagrams) to follow but they are not shown. Does anyone have a copy of these illustrations?

3. Most important: Since we have recently found out that the diagram for IN and OUT ATF flow through the radiator was wrong in the original service manual, how does that affect the written TSB?

I don't want to follow the TSB to the letter and find out it was hooked up backwards.

Or should I just use an aftermarket filter system and forget all about the one from Subaru? A written diagram or explanation would be helpful.
