NOt shifting to 2nd & 4th

HI all
I have a 92 SL-L for almost 5 yrs about a week ago I was driving from NY to DC I stopped to pay toll and then the car wont shift to 2 or 4th gear I always take care of it like a baby trans fluid shange every 20k oil every 2.5k I used Z-max kit every 10k and every weekend I check all the fluids I took it to a transmission shop and diag on the scanner and they found nothing no codes showing at all
they told me to rebuild the tranny but it coasts about $3000 to do so

Hey, and welcome to the network. You might want to try running a search using the search button up at the top of the page ^^^. You should find TONS of relating information, as I dont believe this is a rare problem.

I been looking in the forum for about 3 days (waiting for activation ) but havnt found anything about this its driving me insane I never had any problems with the car other than thae bearings the trans was shifting very smoooth even on that day I drove about 100mi befor it did that

as they say when rains it .....

got layed off 3 weeks b4 the car died on me and now am broke as hell SHhhiiiiiiitttttttttt
