Arrow Cool Pic!

This is one of the best pics of an SVX I have found. I found it snooping around searching for random things.

Not yet, getting ready though! I leave March 9th for boot. Can't wait for that to be out of the way. I've been running and doing everything I can do w/ out weights. Man do I suck at running!

I don't know about Coast Guard Bootcamp, but what I can say from experience with Marine Corps Bootcamp is this... Run your @$$ off while you can!!! Work on endurance as much as you possibly can!!! Do pushups and situps as much as possible!!! Before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning everyday max yourself out on both of those mentioned... I thought I would have no problem with the running part (and I didn't) but I started traning really late for it and my body went through about a month of terrible pain... Just because EVERY single day we would run atleast 3 miles... Make sure that you run atleast 2 every other day... Alternate between easy runs on Monday, Wednsday, Friday... Then do 1 1/2 mile "timed" runs... That is the Navy's run length... (I think the CG's is the same)... Other than the endurance bit, you shouldn't have to worry about all that much... If you can take orders and do exactly what they say the first time and concentrate under pressure and get the job done then you will be fine... It all boils down to Endurance though (Mental, Physical, and Emotional)... Start shutting yourself off to little "extras" during the day... (ie - Candy, TV, Video Games, GIRLS)... I'm not saying that you should turn gay or something with that last comment, just that dealing with bootcamp will be stressful enough, unless you are already married then just prepare yourself to be single through that time at bootcamp... I had a girlfriend when I went to bootcamp, and I got stressed out like crazy when I'd get those stupid letters from her saying that she didn't think it would work because I was away for so long and all that BS!!! Ya don't need it man!!! Remember you'll have "Beavers chasing your Thing" when you get out :cool... Later man

Well I can already meet the requirements for push ups and sit ups, so now I'm just working on those to exceed the requirements. I was never good at running really, but I figure if I just hit the treadmill everyday for as long as I can, by the time my ship dates rolls in, I'll be good to go. I don't have a girlfriend so that's one thing I don't have to worry about. I guess we'll see how it all pans out. But from what I've been told by ppl who have gone through it, it's alot more mental stress than it is physical. So if I can prepare myself to get completely shat upon and memorize what I have to, I'll be okay.
