Have adjusted the timers to suit the open and closed time of the SVX mirror motors (about 5-6 seconds each way). Will install it in the spring as it is too cold in the “garage” (I wish) ah car port and as the SVX will go for repaint the Monday after Christmas.
Tested the unit in the car. Worked as designed but one issue with the relay buzzing after the open cycle. Might be the cheap relay. Got a better one coming. Moving on to other work while awaiting the slow boat from China for the relay. No rush.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Took my Baby for a road trip to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. She loved the twisty roads in the Highlands.

Stopped in the village of Inverness which has a population of only a few hundred. Sitting next to me in the parking lot was a Japanese 1996 WRX STI. What are the odds on that one? Two rare Subies in the middle of nowhere.

Apologies for the orientation of pic No. 2.

Drove it in 2nd gear until my tapping lifter became free. I put half a can of seafoam in the oil yesterday. I have used it in the past, but now I have proof the stuff really works.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Finally got a chance to take it out after finishing the brakes and axle. Already have AMR Coilovers on the way. Can't wait to replace the soggy worn strut

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

That would be AMR Engineering for the coilover

http://https://amrengineering.com/pr...ing-coilovers/

$1495.00 plus shipping NO RETURNS

Here is a review by one of the members

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...&highlight=AMR

Bought to you by the same company that is producing the all-aluminum radiator. Almost a year in the making, paid in full by many members here, and yet to be produced or shipped. Legal action is in the works, so beware.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Yea I was really worried when I read the reviews, however it seemed like new company growing pains. I made several email communications with Andy and he responded reasonably promptly. I made an online payment and through email, he promised within 2.5 weeks but it took more like 4 weeks before delivery. I was ok with the one month wait time especially after reading how some customers waited 3+ months. I am in no rush as this is my weekend fun car. Each unit came individually boxed so they were well protected. The build quality appears to be exceptional, especially compared to some of AMR's earlier customer pictures. It seems they are actually improving their design and some of their customer service issues.

I hopefully will install them within these couple weeks. I did work with Andy is finding the "softest" spring rate as I wanted stock like ride quality.

I'll report back when I get them installed!

Is the front strut adjusting center nut recessed so the hood dent problem has been fixed ?
