Hi supertole.

Looks good! You have the switch!

When you say it does not work, by that do you mean the washer system is in your car, but is broken, or that you have only the switch, and it is not operational?

Joe

Anyway, your upper list above prices a "Switch Panel Assy". Yet the part numbers do not mention this.

Any chance you have the part number for the interior switch?

Joe
I don't have the part number for the switch. Many years ago, an SVX owner in Japan asked me to get those details from my dealer. He traded me some 4WS troubleshooting info.

You can probably find the part numbers by digging out Petr's "Subaru FAST" dealer software and feeding it a UK chassis number. I don't have a suitable PC setup at the moment. I was thinking it would be cool to setup a small VMware with an old DOS/Windows install and the Subaru FAST software. But that last thing I need right now is another project.

I looked for it but all I got was "Server not found" crap.

Where does it reside? If I can get a copy, I know a chap who would possibly like the challenge of maybe making it work on XP or something we can address every day.

Have you a copy, or where is the Petr address for it?

Joe

I know I have a copy somewhere, but I can't find it at present. I'll have a look for it.

Be interesting to see if your chap can make it work on XP. If not then VMware is the way to go.

You let me know what you have, and any pointers you think will help on the software side, and I will see if I can get my chap getting it operational.

It will be a big boon for everybody if we have the resource of being able to get UK part numbers based on chassis numbers.

Thanks

Joe

I also would like the switch assembly part number. I know that Joe would be haapy to order one for me and send it to the states.

I have VMWare sessions for DOS, Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, etc. Just let me know what you need and I'll send you a link to download it from my server.

Please.......

Doug

The washer system is in my car but it doesn't work and I haven't managed to repair it because it's not a thing I will use usually so I don't waste the money on it.

well, it looks like it *might* be either 83001PA000, 83001PA090 or 83001PA250 but without pictures or better descriptions, I can't be sure.

Thumbs up

Good find!

Thanks Supertole!

83003PA040 is obviously the switch top for the headlights washer that we were looking for.

This link is a handy facility.

I wonder if the Russian prices are reasonable?

Joe

I've spent quite a few hours on that site already creating a spreadsheet of available switch banks by model/year/destination.

So far I have found 15 different switch banks and I am still cross referencing. Four of them for sure have the headlamp washer. I'm still tracking down what the center switch is in those four so we can order the correct combination.

BTW: anyone know what a "IMMBI INDICATERI" is? It occupied a switch position in 1996-97 SVXs both LHD and RHD that were NOT bound for the US, Japan, Australia, Thailand, or G.C.C. (Wherever G.C.C. is)

If this wasn't so much work, it would actually be fun.

Doug

I just checked subaruparts.com prices for the US switch banks. They range from $78 - $112 each. So about 56-80 EUD each or 1,979 - 2,843 RUB.

Of course, all day long the Russian site was giving me prices which I failed to record, now that I need them, its down....

Anyway I would say between 2000-3000RUB plus shipping.

I would think that any of those units would be available from a European dealership.
