Oh great...

Bulliten - Civil Emergency Message National Weather Service Louisville KY 700 PM EDT Mon Sep 1 2002

The Louisville/Jefferson County Kentucky Emergency Management Agency Is Issuing A Hazardous - Material Warning For Portions Of Jefferson County Kentucky. Warning At 645 PM EDT And Until Further Notice.

There Has Been An Accident Involving Ammonia In The Northeast Westport Road Area... Bounded By Westport Road... Gene Snyder Freeway And Lake Louivillia Road. Close All Window And Doors... Block Out All Outside Air... Turn Off Any Air Conditioning And Bring Your Pets Indoors. Turn Your Television Or Radio Or Noaa Weather Radio For More Detailed Information. Do Not Call 911 Unless You Need To Report An Emergency. Stay Inside Until Further Notice.

O.K., I'm not the closest person to this (there's several neighborhoods surrounding that specific area) but I'm probably less than 2 miles away. Have yet to see if it's a train or a truck involved. One of the Ford truck plants is in that area. Have to make a few calls, I have friends in that area. So much for a quiet evening...

Actually I don't know - all the area meth guys were standing around with buckets waiting for some free samples.

Apparently it was over almost as soon as it was announced, I haven't heard what the deal was but I'm suspecting a truck turned over and no leakage was found. More as details become available, film at 11:00, you know the drill. At least the weatherbug was good for alerting us - www.weatherbug.com - I never shut my computers down and they're always online, so I could hear the warning come through immediately.
