About the drive for the meet.... I arranged it to where we will be driving southeast over the dragon and then across the mountians back into Tennessie to the Tellico Plains for lunch... Just like the Dragon meet earlier this year... If there are any people that know this route better please let me know so I can get the roads right... I only have a road atlas that shows the main roads... Never driven them before so I don't really know the route that well... I'll bring my map to the meet so we can get the route worked out further... But it looks like a really nice drive!!!!

Hope to get some of the XT6 guys to show up.

I'll have my XT. Saving the SVX for Reno in 04. 6000 miles in a week or so! I think after this past weekend running fairly close Harry's times raised a few eyebrows. The best part about it is it is an H stock car vs. G stock so once the handicap is factored in there wasn't an SVX close to me. Possibly the Focus SVT eaked out a better time but it was close. Mental note. Time for some real tires. The peerless specials just don't have the grip.

Cool stick it to-em with the XT6

On a side note, I threw my back out yesterday, hope it gets better quick, as I have a crap load of maintenance to do to my cars before the meet....

Just got news from Tim at Duff's Subaru, saying that they couldn't work in the cookout this year...so i guess we'll all go to dinner somewhere, instead of a cookout.....to bad cause I REALLY like grilled out burgers

Still waiting on news about the meet hotel....will post as soon as it's tied down....

Bill just locked down the hotel, here is the info:

Doubletree Inn,(formerly the Garden Plaza) at $69.00/night.
Oak Ridge,TN
Their number is XXX.XXX.XXXX (see below), and ask for the SVX meet rate.

So get your room soon!

Just tried to make my reservations, and found out there was some problems with the Doubletree Inn’s availability…so the meet will be across the street at the Hampton Inn, the number there is: 865-482-7889.

They will honor the original rate of $69.00 per night for a double, or a king room.

You have to tell them you’re with the “SVX-Run” to get the group rate.

Also! You need to make your reservation BEFORE Sept. 17th 2003 as that is as late as they will hold the rooms!

The directions from Interstate 75 are as follows:

I-75 South (from Kentucky)
Take Exit 122 (Clinton)
Turn Right off Exit 122 onto Hwy 61
Follow Hwy 61 to Hwy 95 South
Follow Hwy 95 South into Oak Ridge
Turn Left at traffic light #12 (S. Illinois Ave.)
Hampton Inn is ˝ mile on the right

I-75 North (From Georgia)
Take Exit # 81 (Lenoir City) to Hwy 321
Turn left onto 321 towards Oak Ridge
Follow 321 to Hwy 95 North
Follow Hwy 95 North into Oak Ridge
Turn right at traffic light # 12 (S. Illinois Ave)
Hampton Inn is ˝ Mile on right

I-40 East (From Nashville)
Take Exit # 356 (Kingston)
Turn Left off Exit # 356 onto hwy 58 North
Follow 58 N to 95 N (about 8 miles)
Follow Hwy 95 N into Oak Ridge
Turn right at traffic light # 12 (S. Illinois Ave)
Hampton Inn is ˝ Mile on right

Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully this will be the last change.
