Car shows starting

First this year. Got a lot of attention. One guy thought I should have won best foreign car. When they announced the trophy he pointed at my car and said bet it's this one. Lost to a Rolls Royce.

Re: Car shows starting

Thanks. And it was just a plain tan RR. Nothing special. Thing is every year when they announce the trophies. It is always people the judge knows personally
Ie: Joe is here every year with a great car, what you bringing next year.
Ie: so how long ago Di you restore that 442 ?
Ie: I'm glad you kept it in the Family your gap dad would be pleased..etc.
300 cars this year. One of 4 we have this big in town each year.
Gets expensive at $10.00 a pop, if you attend all that are in the area ( 12)
How do u upload multi attachments?????

Yea! Back then the Pinto was made in Mexico... Hey just read the new Chevy SS is made in Australia. The GM Holden plant.
They had 300 cars at this show. Only one SVX.

Re: Car shows starting

Your SVX looks great Conn.
As for the US cars, I would have chosen that white T-bird.
There is one locally for sale, but its a coupe in Papa Smurf color

Re: Car shows starting

White convertible with the optional rear cover with headrests. If it was a retractable I would be all over it. My fav was the mid engine 1946 international truck with the Vett motor in the pick up bed and fuel cell under the hood. ORANGE. shaved doors and chopped top

Until GM closes that too. They're shutting down Holden altogether in 2017. In fact all car manufacturing in Australia will end that year. Strange but true.

Nice of the town to let the car show be right on the main streets! That has to be good for the shop owners.

Re: Car shows starting

We have a huge monthly (April-Oct) car show, 1,000+ cars right in downtown Somerset, KY...I put one of my SVX in when I'm home those weekends....it is a huge thing here even Hot Rod TV has been here multiple times...and yes, usually I'm the only Subaru, much less SVX in the show....but always get lots of lookers, and questions
