Alternative Fix for starter/Cruise control circut.

Over the last couple of years I have tried a number of different methods to sort out the problem on the cruise control when you direct connect the starter circut and bypass the N or P eith on a Auto or manual box. I have used the netrual switch on the 5 speed that needs to go through a relay otherwise the switch fails. Now that I have a 6 speed that doesn't work so I was going to go throught the clutch. In the past all the options caused loss of power to the soliniod on the starter so if the battery wasn't good the soliniod would now swing in.
Today I worked out a different option and a simpler soluation to the whole problem. What I did was solider the two starter wires under the bonnet together so as to get the best starting current. Then I removed the glovebox and found the Diode that enable the cruise control inhibitor relay to stop it swing in. Once found it was a simple matter to pop the diode from the holder and this stoped the Cruise having any connection to the starter circut and away it went.
Its all perfect and works great. Becareful not to pop both diodes as one is need to operate the rest of the cruise control. The one you need has the Black & White wirer going into it. Attached is a photo of the holder and the diode.
