Quick "5 speed" Question

To those of you with a 5-speed in your SVX.
Are you happy with it?
Has it given you any problems?

I need to know whatever you guys can tell me before I pop the question to smallcar.com

oh by the way it is a 1994 L SVX (Front wheel drive)

Thanks.
Adam Thompson

no 5-speed for FWD SVX...

I don't think there is a 5 speed FWD Subaru tranny that will fit in a FWD SVX.

Sure there is, My "Project car" is a 95 Impreza 2 door FWD 5-speed, the tranny out of it will bolt right up, the Legacy and Impreza line from 90-95 had a 5-speed FWD as standard equipment, but there are none that have a hyd. activated clutch, they are all cable activated.

And being a FWD will make it easier to do the swap, as you won't need to mess with the rear diff, nor lengthing the driveshaft.

You will for sure, be able to roast the front tires at will

And yes, I'm very happy with mine.
And no, it hasn't given me any problems.

Very happy! The car now has more emphasis on sport, less on luxury to give you a realistic view. I went with the 4.11s.
