Thre's a little something called the US mail. If you don't or do like what the people in Washington DC are doing for or to you, write to your representative(s) and senator(s) and your president. Someone in their office reads the mail (e-type or snail type). Believe me they listen if they get enough letters telling them that they are doing a good job or that they're not going to have a government job any more. The trick to an effective letter is to be nice, to try to help the addressee, and to present cogent arguments to make your point(s). Did I mention to be nice not nasty?

Agreed: <1979 again?>
Thanks.

Re: The people have spoken!

Obama had millions in anonymous donations. His financial advisors have thier hands in the Wall Street debacle. As a lawyer, he sued for expansion of the sub-prime lending that caused this recession. When the Obama covered idiots on the street were asked what policy or ideas of Obama's they liked, most picked McCain's because they have no idea what the guy stood for or voted for. Change? More like shiny suit impresses the ignorant. What's worse is he will be Nancy Pelosi's lap dog in the near future. He won't act or do anything with out "consulting his advisors" (his words). Clinton rode the rewards of Reagan-omics and Bush suffered through the Clinton mess. Any economist will tell you it takes 10-15 years for policy and actions to affect the economy. Was Bush the best president? No. He made some mistakes. Was McCain the best option? No, but when put against Obama, yes. Obama has no expereince, refused to release his college transcripts, his wife writes a paper that makes the Black Panthers seem "moderate", and people ate it up. The media was in his pocket months ago. A guy votes for a complete ban of private ownership of firearms, then says he supports the 2nd Ammendment and people believe him. It will be a long 4 years. Not one of the things I listed is untrue. The people got their messiah.

Re: The people have spoken!

I must say that I and many other people didn't vote for Obama because he was black, but because after 43 others before him I feel he is best for the job at this day in time.I feel some people will never change but what really surprises people is that he isn't the first president good God, we should take consideration about how of others feel about the moment good or bad. When America makes history, everyone feels good why not now.I don't mean to offend anyone either.I lost two homes over the past 12 years due to jobs moving overseas but that didn't make me blame whoever the president was at the time.

Canada "used to be" worse. In January that will definitely not still be the case.

Alaska is a great idea! We go up for lunch some days and the people that live there, with maybe an exception from one persons information posted on this form, are fantastic! Great folks!

Another option would be Texas. I think the deal when Texas joined the union was that they could opt out. That should be a consideration for them because it would be a great way to get rid of the big US national debt!!

We do have a few options.

We "made history" on 9/11 Are we supposed to feel good about a tragedy that happened last Tuesday that dwarfs that tragedy??

Re: The people have spoken!

So, what is not documented. The current documenation rules for fundraising by the Federal Election Commission are pretty hard to get around. The factoid that Obama has hundreds of millions of dollars of undocumented contributions is related to the fact that documenation of contributions of less than $200 is not collected. I suppose that Dr. Evil could have contributed $20,000,000 to the Obama campaign with one hundred thousand $200 contributions but if you believe that I havre a nice bridge here in NYC that I would like to sell you.

I did my research I went in with an open mind but after hearing his stances on things I choose to cast my vote for McCain. Not saying he'd be so great. Why does everyone put the blame on Bush. Look back in voting history and see how Clinton helped us get into this housing crisis by the Housing Acts. Forcing banks to loan to people even if they are high risk. Guess what would happen if they didnt? They would get fined big time. I'm not a party man, I'm registered unaffiliated for a reason. Its so easy to put the blame on our current president but when in fact its just stuff catching up to us.

We have allowed ourselves to be charmed in to getting a person with military and hardly any political experience (compared to majority of people) in to office. Think of it like Landshark said.

Many small business will be closing before the year is out mark my words.
Quite exceptional for such a young person. Very few did the research to REALLY see behind the Democratic and Obama rhetoric in terms of previous voting records and acts that contributed to our current financial crissis. Most just accepted slanted reporting from the biased liberal media and Obama's broad campaign promises that cannot be supported by funding. It was the "whats in it for me" that decided many voters for many voters.
