Exclamation Removing SVX Heads

Hi Everyone, Its been a long time since I've posted on the form, (Yahoo days). Been tried to keep active as far as reading. But anyway, I have a problem, hopefully someone here can help me out.

I recently replaced the value cover gaskets, and had one of the bolts break of in the head (save me the slaps across the head, I know thats a BAD thing ). I need to get the head of so I can take it down to my buddy's machine shop. I own the service manuals so getting it apart looks pretty easy... problem is the camshaft pulley.

1. Do I need to (or is it recommended) to remove the pulley from the camshaft.
2. If so, what is the best way to get it apart. I don't have the camshaft pulley tool from subaru, so what can you recommend.
3. If anyone has pulled one of these bad boys apart, what steps did you take, and what should I avoid.

Thanks,

Dallin
