Testing MAF
Is there a special procedure for testing the MAF, by either checking resistance or voltage across certain pins on the connector? Mine is exhibiting symptoms, but I don't want to replace it unless I know the problem for sure.

Re: Testing MAF
There is a way to comnnect to read the signal from the MAF. I have done this on my SVX. It was pretty easy to put a multi-strand wire into the connector and read the value to ground. I pulled off the connector and placed the multi-strand wire into the square hole. It worked well. I don't have my info with me right now. So I don't remember if it was voltage or resistance. I think it was voltage. I think you would have to run a wire from the MAF connector to inside the cabin unless your SVX is real bad and does not run. Then again you may just be able to get a good signal with the hood open and cracking the throttle. I'll check back on this thread latter today.
