i really like having hot sweaty feet while my upper body is cold and freezing. i can't say i love the SVX climate control in the winter, but i sure do love the ice cold AC in the summer - the coldest i've ever had in a car!!!

It works a lot better in AUTO. Thanks. Now I need a snow storm to see if the window will stay clear.

Perfect review of this system: I was wondering why I couldn't get any heat out of the face vents on auto but did get a light side window defrost!!

Thanks!!!!!!

My pleasure. Always happy to share what little I know about these kinky machines.

Every woman I've been involved with thinks the same thing. I believe it's hard-coded in their genetic makeup, from the days when "throw another coupla logs on the fire, a bigger fire cooks the mastodon faster" was operative.

"Turn it up to 85" is the modern-day equivalent.

Randy,

We all know about your penchant for zebra stripes and "I am curious-YELLOW."
But please, don't describe the SVX as 'kinky'.
It may be a bit out of the mainstream, but not kinky.

Tell us, once more, about your famous "Gift," and THEN, talk to me about not calling the car "kinky."

Climate Control

I always thought that there was something wrong with my climate control because hot air would never blow on my face...and then when i did the 5 speed swap i toasted my climate control and bought a used one...then it still didn't work on my face..i just thought something was seriously wrong with my heat...Glad to know now that's how it's supposed to be. Thanks Randy!!!

Wink

I leave mine on AUTO all the time, all seasons, set temp at 74 degrees & have never had a comfort problem. I've never had a car that blew hot air through the A/C vents. Heat rises & should ONLY come from the lower levels, unless DEFROST is used. A sticky "butterfly" door will negate all of this, however. WD40 to the rescue.

Ron (gettin' blowed good).
