Cool New one from Russia

Hi everyone!

My name is Gleb, and i`m from Moscow, Russia) That`s a pity, but there are a few good shape SVX`s in our country, even 3 selling now in the whole country(

Now i own a Ford Probe GT `91, but SVX is my goddamn dream. And now i have an offer to buy this one for 1000usd:

JF1CX3439NH104967

Replacements:

Radiator panel assembly
Left/right fenders
Hood
Front bumper assembly
Headlights assembly
Radiator grill
Radiator
Cooling fans
And few little things..

oh, i forget - auto tranny failured - runs only to 2nd gear.. So, its not a problem - i`ll replace it with other one.

The only thing, that scares me, is that engine moved a little bit upper at the drivers side

I think i`ll buy a donor SVX from Japan - so all of body parts, radiator, fans, headlights etc will be availiable

What do you think about it? Is it a good idea to give life to this SVX or its a good time to kill it in the junkyard?

Thank you!

don't kill it. especially being as rare as they are in you parts. anything can be fixed. would be a lot easier with a donor car. around here svx is uncommon but still see them around quite a bit. if you have one of only several then you would indeed have a very special car if you can fix it.

The next thing that scares me - donor is a right hand vehicle, but this one is left. Whats the difference between LH and RH exept interior, steering and electric wires? i`ve searched for the parts in electronic catalog, and i`ve realized thats body, suspension, engine and tranny are the same

I`ve added few pictures of thread SVX in my first post, are they visible?

the only difference between the LDH and RHD is:
side view mirrors
steering placement
and i think the headlights are leveled differently, and most are glass not plastic

The brake system is reversed as well. Also, the climate control panel is different with two LCD screens on a RHD model.

wiring is also different?

What do you think - is it necessary to use stapel to remove engine displacement (see pics)? Can we explain this replacement because of engine cushions rubber shrinks after salvage or something like that?

Or thats longeron damage for sure?..
