Actually it's not the original Bordeaux anymore. It's the same paint as the last Thunderbird. So it's Merlot metallic. (Yes they also use the same paint on Fusion or F150, but I just wanted to say it's same color as T-bird.)

Since the color difference is very subtle I skipped painting on the door jam, and inner trunk. The result is still good. You wouldn't notice the diff unless you're told. It's slightly red-ish compare to the Bordeaux.

I like this color a lot. I gotta thank this T-bird owner. I got a hint from his/her car when I was jogging!

Claret, Bordeaux, Merlot... all red wines. I think that'll be ok.

If I were to re-paint, I might use some Porsche colors... Midnight blue non-metallic on the roof and trunk top, and either Cobalt or Aqua blue, (maybe VW's new medium blue) on the main body... maybe Subaru WRB pearl... something bright blue, with a bit of a cold silver undertone, and some titanium silver/white details.

I can only hope it would be as glossy and slick as your paint job, there, Ryu...

Ha, sorry about that...but I didn't do anything on the window glasses, maybe the reflection helped to look shiny. Having said that, the frt windshield has countless tiny chips from years of small rocks on the freeway. Now since the hood is clean, it's more obvious to see them.

Trust me, thinking about the colors will take forever...and it should. it's not easy or cheap decision. Whether stay with the original color, or do something different it's always tough to think about..
I always thought they should offer more factory colors for SVX.
You've probably seen, but this guy's car is painted in Sonic blue, I'm not sure if that's an official Subaru's paint code/name in JPN or not.
Sonic Blue SVX

But hey thanks, I hope the glossiness lasts long too! At least they gave me 3yr warranty for that....

I saw that guy's JDM car a while back... before the spoiler and gold wheels. I like it better with no spoiler, and black wheels. I have it on my desktop now. He said that it is a Nissan GT-R (R32 or R33, I think...) color.

A little less "tuned", but that is close to what I was thinking... But actually, since my car isn't straight, I may wait on a re-paint for a straight, non-rusty chassis sometime in the future.

Re: She is back home.....finally!!!!!!!

That car is as good looking as automobiles get, weather brand new or old, take care of her!A trick I use on the windows is to polish them with the same cloth that was used to wipe the wax off the body, clean glass is happy glass.................G
