Small town of LaPrairie, suburb of Grand Rapids..... wait do towns with 7500 people have suburbs? anyway, affectionately known as the LP. about 75 miles west of duluth
---MIKE---

By the way, thanks to Stevebsy for pointing me to Hayes in Duluth for service... it was reassuring to get in the lot and see 2 black SVXs on display(one of them very nice, but spendy....$20,000) well they checked out my car and did the same thing that I could have done if someone would have made a post 1 day sooner...... wouldn't have had to drive the 250 miles to get the codes pulled if I knew about the alternative method for 92's.

I live in White Bear Lake, I recently bought a black 96 LSi then promptly joined this group. I also have a modified legacy turbo. Subarus sure are great cars for this part of the country. You sure dont see alot of SVXs though.I saw a blue SVX on 35E in the north metro, and the guy slowed down and waved. Anyone on this board? BillC

what year are you right now? i'm gonna be going up there this next fall...i doubt i'll be able to bring my car up tho. i may try to get a handicap permit, and see if that doesn't help me... "ummm, dr...that permanent hip disorder i have...well, it's just causing me so much pain when i walk..." i hope it works b/c the thought of leaving my car at home when my sister is learning to drive is just scary...she already thinks it's the one she'll get to drive...but she doesn't know that it's ALL MINE!!!!!

I'm a sophomore this year. Are you going to be staying in the dorms? If so ... I dont think I'd put my SVX anywhere near UMN dorms (I was in them last year). Plus, if you're living on campus, there aren't a ton of reasons to drive - buses go everywhere and you can get one of the "Upass" unlimited bus thingys. I think I've driven a total of 88 miles in the last month or two, mostly just to the grocery store. Feel free to drop me an email (mcfa0086@tc.umn.edu) if you have any other questions - we should definatly see about a minnesota SVX get together sometime.
