SW area meet

we should try getting a SW area meet going.. im in Las Vegas and not opposed to anywhere in So Cal and of course theres always LAS VEGAS!!

i could probably be talked into a meet if it was within a day's drive. vegas works, but i'd be out if it were in southern california.

for some reason 230hp AWD coupes are more popular in the north and east. but im hanging onto hope theres a few more out here... we could really shoot for the moon and go for a "family" meet SOMEwhere...

i think Richfield has a gas station... maybe an Arbys... at the very least Quickie Mart Nachos and a fuzzy hot dog... i like the idea of Vegas..

i'm sure you do. honestly, i've been dying to take the svx on a long road trip. i always planned on attending the reading meet, but i can never justify burning an entire week's vacation to drive out there and spending a full five days on the road. i plan on attending the 15th anniversary meet (10th for me ) in indiana in september since i won't have to clear it with anyone else's schedule. that's gonna be one monster drive for one day.

I've been trying for years to do a western meet.
Doesn't meet with much interest or cooperation. Can't even get the people on the other side of the mountains (CO) to drive into the high country, let alone venture over here where the rivers run the right way.

Richfield, Utah has a very nice Flying J truck stop...a pleasant Best Western hotel, and a single-screen movie theatre....
But it is a nice drive.

Not at all opposed to going to Vegas, might just have to plan a 3-day weekend!

We're going to be through there next month, but not in the SVX.

I'm sure the Reading is a big thing, and so will be the Indy, but I just can't handle the drive either.

BUT. I am doing what I can to pull off a visit to the 20th.
Talk about a major event. How many vehicles produced since the 80's actually make it through 20 years anyway. You'll see me there.

Being southwest sucks! My car is so lonely here in San Diego. I only know one person with an SVX and I see more, but they obviously don't belong to any car sites...

Actually, Vegas might not be a bad deal for L.A, Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, Salt Lake, and even Carson City, but a bit of a trip for Denver area.

I think I could pull off a Vegas trip.
