I also find it funny that he didn't use the trunk-mounted SAM missles to take out the helicopters...They are standard on the LS-L, aren't they?

Just watched the video... that's crazy. If it wasnt so unsafe and stupid i would say the offroading looked like a fun time.

that was awesome!

But hey - when you got a chopper on u, no shot you're running away. The SVX could easily smoke the cops on a chase, but helicopter?!

The whole time watching all I thought was - "dam that car looks hot" ...he didn't seem to dip it very well and when he first steals it he almost loses it coming around the corner

Glad they caught him though - seems like a moron.

As for stealing the SVX - ha! They've learned on the WRXs and STis ...guess what - nothing different in the SVX.

More like Fords and Chevys. A tough enough screwdriver and strong wrists are all it really takes to start most cars without an engine immobilizer. I'm guessing that the owner of the SVX didn't arm the alarm or an aftermarket alarm was installed and didn't make use of the starter kill relay. No way he could've found and bypassed the relay in less than a minute.

What was that SVX marketing thing on the brochures?

Something about going too fast and getting tickets? This guy took it too seriously.

You Gotta Be Kidding...

" - seems like a moron"?
I'd say his actions and personal history speak volumes...we can only hope he hasn't reproduced.
On a diffrent note...further proof the SafetyVehicleXperimental is a pretty tough car, glad I own one.

The guy who owned the car had just got home and walked into the house. The next thing he knew was it was gone.

Chase suspect did same thing last year

By Jennifer Sullivan
Seattle Times staff reporter

The Seattle man who led police on a wild, televised pursuit Tuesday afternoon across Eastside freeways — and even one golf course — did practically the same thing almost a year ago in Shoreline.

wow, he broke into a few homes and tried unsuccessfully to force residents to give him the keys to their car.

in GA, he would have wound up with 2 holes in the head.

he would have to pry the keys from bloodied dead hands.

wow, that was crazy. I wonder how fast he was going on some parts of it, I know from personal experience that the SVX is capable of speeds of over 140 mph.... when that truck was chasing him, the SVX seemed like it was flying... stupid driver, we don't need any more totalled SVXi
