Life is Good!
Just got an email from the head of the WDCA SCCA region that he gets to invite 50 members to test drive the latest versions of the Lotus Elise, and I'm one of the 50!
  They're setting up a course on one of the FedEx parking lots and it appears that we'll each get at least 2 runs through the course. This Friday can't show up soon enough!-Bill

Dude, you are so lucky. Hey, I'll give you $5 if you can have someone get a picture of you in the Lotus Elite doing a massive burnout that shows up in the "burnout of the month" section of Sport Compact Car. ;-)
BTW, does that guy know anything about your superstock SVX?

He also knows that I've been running a pretty smooth grid all year at the regular SCCA events (I'm running grid during his run group...) I will definitely work on having pictures taken! -Bill

Speaking about the Lotus Elise...
   I must say I was amazed at the way a relatively junior driver drove in one at the last Blue Ridge SCCA event! Amazing...simply amazing. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts after the test drive Bill. Let me know if you had any issues fitting into the driver's seat (and to think that the passenger's seat is even smaller! )-Chike

I just saw this car sitting in the parking lot of a casino! (Sams Town, off of Boulder Hwy.) When I saw it was a Lotus, it made me wonder why they would just park it out there with those door dinging idiots. Looks like they would have Valet' the thing.
It looked like a itty bitty toy. I mean this car was small!!! But man! Did it look fast.

I agree Bill
I was invited to an Elise Ride-n-Drive a couple of months back and have been remiss in not loading pics. I got two laps with a ringer as a passenger, two laps in the base model as a driver, two laps in the Sport model as a driver and two all-out push it laps as a passenger again.
Great time was had by all! Todd

Great, Bill. Lucky dog, you!! You will love it - I have never driven one, but have seen a couple run at the Mercedes autocross. They are fast.
BTW, please don't tell the Lotus folks that the Elise is nothing more than a Toyota MR2 (it has that engine, you know ). Of course, it is NOT the same "car", but if you want to "pull their chain" a bit ........ Go for it. But wait until AFTER you last run Harry
