2005 NHRA Racing

Well friends and fans, the time has come. This weekend is the division opener for NHRA Division 6 Gold Cup Racing. Defending my 2004 season 2nd place title, I am going out to the track with several season expecations.

1st place season title win
One or more Wally trophy/statues
Win the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals
Go to division finals again (and this time be a bit more prepared for altitude speed differences)
Win the division championship
Win the Nationals
Have tons more fun!!!

I am seeking sponsorships as well. I have a proven performance record and plenty of track appearances.

For those interested, there is a (beta) site up and running to for you (the SVX WN memebers) as well as my sponsors to track my performance, news, and events. This site is my NHRA car/driver number:

On the schedule, as each race is finished, the date will turn into a link with news and photos about the event and how well the car and I have done.

I wish Chris. That would mean I would be on the road often which I can't do just yet i.e. wife needs me to be around on weekends to watch our 'hooligan' of a 20 month old son!

When I get the Forester XT, I'd actually like to prep it for a Car & Driver Cannonball One Lap of America competition. The SUV/Truck class doesn't have the greatest drivers, and I should hopefully be pretty competitive - the competition encompasses drag/bracket racing, skip pad tests, AutoX and timed laps on some famous race tracks!

Once my 4.444 trans is installed on 4/23, the first all motor awd 4EAT SVX in 14's should hopefully happen!

I go for the lowest time possible, you go for consistency!

Chriss you need to email me your shipping information so I can get some v4 ROMs out to you. I remember you are using the older ones. V4 aught to do you some good.

If you can do me a favor too. Can you look up the phone # and information for the Tampa drag strip in your NHRA list? I've been told there is one but I haven't gotten it's information yet and I want to start doing some racing.

Thanks chike. Looks like I have to go to brandenton to run a 1/4. The local track is an 1/8

Bradenton isn't all THAT far though, 50 miles.

I typically drive between 80-100 miles to go to the 1/4 mile track! I have three 1/8th mile tracks within a 1/2 hour of me though...

Probably not as many police officers on your interstate though. FL has gotten rediculous. The construction and police pressence makes you not want to make interstate drives.

Since getting shorter gears, I actually drive my svx slower on interstates as she can get up to dizzying speeds much faster...

Great job with the Stage III. I may talk to you down the road about close decking the block and upgrading the pistons, valve springs & cams for a different reason - to extract as much power as possible from an n/a set-up.

I'll let you know when I'm serious though. Money is tight as I'm fixing my SVX and buying a house. Plus I want to add a Forester XT as the 2nd car in my Subaru collection!
