Pulley

My crank pulley is wobbling a little bit, and im wondering if the pully might be damaged, and need to be replaced, or do i just need to take it off and put it back on right.

Also if i have to replace it, i might as well get a lightweight pulley.. Which/where pulley should i get? I know motorsports has one, but there is one on ebay for much cheaper..

If it's wobbling it is probably going bad.
There are three parts to the crankshaft pulley/harmonic balancer; the hub, that fits tightly to the crankshaft, the outer ring, that the belts ride against, and an insulating rubber band, press fit between the metal parts.
Please change it with something, before it damages your crankshaft, or radiator, or timing belt cover, or whatever.
I have used an aluminum underdrive pulley for 60,000 hard miles with no issues.
We know the one Dale has will fit with no problems.
If the ones on E-bay fit correctly, then it's your money.

I agree... replace it now, or you'll soon be walking.

There was a fairly detailed thread on this a few weeks back covering options for replacement, pros & cons.

I'm thinking about getting the lightened pulley from motorsport warehouse..

was trying to read a bunch of posts on what pulley to get, but my eyes are playing tricks on me (3:50am) so i'll do some research tomarrow, but if someone knows, would this lightened pulley cause any problems in the long run?

also has anyone tried the pulley from ebay? i imagen i would need different belts if i got that though... so maybe the lightened pulley would be better..

Last question, is replaceing the pully an easy job? Just take off the bolt and tighten it back on??

I have the lightened motorsports warehouse pulley on both svx's and have no problems. Whether a non-dampened pulley will eventually destroy your engine is an ongoing debate.

You will need a torque wrench and strap wrench to install the pulley. You need to torque it down very tight and you need a strap wrench or something similar to hold the pulley in place as you tighten it. If you get a stock subaru pulley instead of a one piece then you have to use another method - Using a strap wrench on a dampened pulley could weaken the rubber dampener material.
