Anyone had a bad motor mount? Tranny mount?

Allright my subaru dealer tells me my squeeky noise is coming from a motor mount Goodyear tells me its from the tranny mount. The engine does raise if I put it in drive on the passenger side if I apply the gas. Goodyear was the one that just replaced the timing belt on the car so you think they would notice a bad motor mount. Then again I get a grind when I make a right turn( which I thought would be bearings) but I just had them replaced a month ago by the subaru dealer. Goodyear told me they were bad but when I took it to the deaLER they said it was just the brakes sticking. Im in the land of rip offs. Not too many in the club from OHio neither. Im just looking for someone to compare notes with that may have had these problems?

bad motor and tranny mounts both are not uncommon. There are probably a number of people driving with bad mounts that don't even notice or are aware and don't see the point in fixing them

squeaking? Maybe the dampener on the crank pulley is separating. Pop the hood, reach back and rev the engine while you watch the main pulley - see if it moves in forward and backward.

yeah....its not a mount

those people are wacko
If it was one of them, you usually get some un wanted
vibrations, maybe even small clunk..but not some of the
noises you are talking about.

Imortals got a good idea, check the crankpulley while its
running....possibly a CV joint too or half shaft.
