How do you rate your SVX?

How do you rate your SVX?
10 Excellent - 1 Poor
Compare to the Lexus SC 300, Nissan 300 Z, BMW 3 Series, etc.
I would like to know since I just purchase a '96 SVX lsi.
Thanks,
Sid

Not as Lexy as Lexus, plusher than a 3 series(just sold my M3 last week), more to it than 300z but slower and more touring.

My wife's bought her 2nd svx in 10 yrs and none of the others so that's a statement.

Thanks guys,
I'm still waiting for more results from the other SVX owners.
I think the SVX is one of the coolest cars that's my opinion. I like cars alot from economy - high-end cars. I own a Nissan Sentra SE-R it's a 1991, a great car.
peace,
sid

I love my SVX. It's a fantastic car. I drove it exclusively for a couple years, and it was an extremely reliable daily driver. Now that I store it most of the time and only drive it about 3,000 miles a year, it's a real joy to take out on weekends.

The SVX is no race car, but it is surprisingly competent in the right hands. I wouldn't call it 'slow' - instead I'd say that drag racing is simply beneath it.

I like to say that the SVX has an amazing ability to compress space and time. I've covered crazy distances in short time and all in absolute comfort and confidence. When I lived in VT I used to set the cruise at 110 and just glide...

Can I assign it a number? Sure, compared to everything else I've ever driven it's a 10. I give it a 10 because it does what it was made to do perfectly. Does it have a few problems? Of course - what car doesn't?

It's a hell of a car, and I love mine dearly.

Compared to those list I give it a 10 on looks alone. I'm not much for any of their looks. I couldnt pay 30+ grand for anything that I think is ugly regardless of performance, comfort, or preppy pints.

I have to give mine a 10 too.

There is nothing out there that handles as well as the SVX. I have tried them all.

I am not a big fan of the windows but then I am more tuned to the way a car handles than it's looks.

Besides you can buy the others anywhere from anyone. Once again ... 10 thumbs up over here.

Compared to other cars I've owned - '90 300ZX TT, '95 Camaro, '00 SVT Lightning - I'd rate my SVX as follows:

Appearance: 10 (timeless good looks)
Performance: 8 (5spd would have made it a perfect 10)
Interior: 8 (good layout of controls in the cabin, but some cheap plastic parts here and there)
Overall: 9 (It's the best car I've owned - period!)

i give it a 6 or 7. it doesn't really do anything exceptionally well, but i think it looks good, and it is a good all-around performer.

braking, handling, acceleration are just slightly above average, but its a jack-of-all-trades - it goes well in all weather conditions, and does it with style.

A 6 or 7?

My you have high standards.

Could you tell me of another vehcle providing the handling utilizing, AWD, the SVX has?

Please leave out the highriding infinity that gets buffetted all over by high winds and passing trucks.

I mean if there is something else out there please let me know. I will try it out!!!

WRX/STi, EVO, 911 Carrera, Eclipse GSX/Eagle Talon, Audi ___ Quattro.......

believe it or not, the SVX is not the pinnacle of AWD sportiness. it may be the most affordable, though.

My brother has a WRX ... Personally I don't like 4 cylinder turbos ... I had one in a car a ferw years ago. My Brother gets buffeted all over the road by trucks and high winds in his WRX.

As for the others the only one I would consider would be the porcshe. But then it is mighty small and is it AWD? My son said yes but then I am not so sure.

I still say I haven't found anything out there that compares to the handling in mountains and open road alike that an SVX offers.

When they make another one or some other car maufacturer comes out with something as handlable and safe to drive I will buy one.

Compare??

I can't.... never owned ony of those cars.

No enough data to be fair other than looks.

The looks of the SVX are top notch... It's a leader...not a follower
