Just another plug for Northwest SVX (www.nwsvx.com).

Don't forget the fun time everyone had a few weeks ago, a meet like that would not be possible without a truly organized club, it could not have happened the way it did even if we just had these forums.

The main purpose of having the organized club, other than attracting new members from the outside world that have no interest in these forums, is to represent our group better to the public, the media, and vendors. The more members we have, the more serious we will be taken.

What made me bring this up today, is the vendor aspect. I want to approach a few SVX related shops and stores with the idea of giving us a group discount in some form or another, or maybe donating prizes for future events, etc. I want to go into the "negotiations" with a nice fat member list to let them know there is some valuable potential business in it for them.

Sorry for the lack of activity on the web site, I'm having technical issues with my computer that have gotten worse over the last couple weeks. I can only stay logged onto the internet for 1-5 minutes before randomly crashing so it is hard to update the site. Rest assured I am taking the memberships offline and building a database. I'll have my new OS installed by the end of the week and then some cool new features will be available, as well as the pictures from Fall Colors and maybe some others!

I have a list of NW members, but not the new members. I will send out a questionare for members to fill out. It will then be sent to the NW members (not posted on the internet). I will then have a current list. I will try to do that this week.

On another note, I connected with a new member here near me in the Mt Vernon area. Just bought the car, but needs a little work.

Yes, this is in the works as well, by very popular demand (although 95% of any other club that has a web site doesn't list their members for each other to see) But we are unique, like our cars! It will be handy to see who's who and where they are located. Confidential type info of course will not be published on the web.

I sent out emails and PMs to members requesting information. If you send it to me, I will send you a copy of the members here in the Northwest. I have close to 50 members listed, but don't have all of their information.

I have an excel file attached, and if you can, fill it out and send it to me. If you can not use excel, use this list to compile the needed information. Thanks

Dear Northwest SVX Owner

I am trying to compile information on Northwest SVX owners to better organize future meets and help for repairs and modifications of our cars. If we have people who have done work on their cars that are close by, you can get some help or advice locally on maintenance or modifications. We would like to get a better way of notifying members on upcoming meets as well. If we know how to best get in touch with you, we might get more people involved with these meets. The meets have really been a lot of fun so far, and we are planning some great ones in the near future. Please contact me if you have any questions on this information. We are not going to post this personal information on a web page, but email it out to you when we have it together. It is only for Northwest members. Let me know if you have Excel, or Word, or MS Works, or any other spread sheet or word processing program, and I can get it to you on that format. wow- i typed in the w word for lady of the evening, and got asteriked out---big brother-or just over active censorship?

The software does censor out some words. It doesn't get them all, so some just use an asterik to block out some of the letters.

Just to clarify, the list Earl sends out and collects information on is his own deal he has been doing for a long time as a handy reference and a way for locals to get in touch with each other and have personal info and stuff.

It does not have to do with Northwest SVX and is not a membership list of the organization. When he says "Northwest Members", he means people in the Northwest that are members of these forums, not members of Northwest SVX necessarily. Make sense?

Don't get me wrong, Earl's list is a great resource, just wanted to make it clear for legal reasons that it has nothing to do with Northwest SVX.
