FYI!
Hi everyone, I forgot to mention this in the 911 post. If you are looking for a different take on the news, let me suggest NPR and PBS. A certain segment in our Congress wanted to de-fund NPR and lower funding for PBS. This tells me they must be doing a good job. There is some internet coverage with NPR from your local NPR station. If you like jazz , blues and news you can check at "WEMU.org" and tune them in online. Take care, BOBB

Re: FYI!
I too, listen to NPR News. I like the multi-faceted reporting and calm voices...

Re: FYI!
I listen to NPR out of Knoxville every morning. It's one of the few broadcast stations my home stereo will receive; something to do with the lay of the land, I guess.
Check-out "Car Talk" at 10:00 on Saturday mornings. My cable provider carries two PBS stations and it's getting to the point that that's about all I watch on TV. (I should cut my "enhanced" basic service to just plain-old basic.) No commercials is cool, but the radio pledge drives can get to be tedious and the TV pledge week programming is all but unwatchable. dcb |
