what do you think of my purchase?

Hey all, new to the forum. I just purchased my first SVX its a 92 lsl it has 145,000 miles on it. The man i purchased it from has owned it the last 100,000 miles of its life, he has all the service records, and has driven the car as a means to get to and from work. I had the car down to a auto hobby shop on my Air Force base he said it looked like a good buy, I also tried to get on here and post a thread but the process took to long. To try to make it short, I paid 1,800 for the car which test drove good. the thing i'm noticing now is a hesitation while trying to pull out at low RPM's a harder shift between 1 & 2, and today my left front brake line went ( no biggy on that one),
Questions: Do you think I got a good deal?
Is there anything I should look for? ( Only 3,000 miles have been put on this car in the last year)

I will try to post pics soon.

What to look for when buying an SVX.

A lot of information to be had in the How-To documents link on the upper right hand of the page!

Also, as far as the length of time it takes to register, that is a product of spammers and people who were banned, dont get the hint, and try to return. It's a small price to pay in order to keep our sandbox clean.

Enjoy your stay!

............is a hesitation while trying to pull out at low RPM's.
Check the engine codes (see How-To Documents). I had a low RPM hesitation and it turned out to be a knock sensor. Inexpensive fix.

Welcome to the community.

Hmm...a hard shift and a hesitation...Quick and eeasy thing would be to make sure the tps is adjusted right

1800$ for a well running svx with those kind of miles is in fact a good deal. good luck with the car, and welcome to the forums
