Smallcar grill installed on Ebony 92

I just installed the new Smallcar grille on my 92 Ebony, unpainted, just to see how it looked before shooting it with paint. I also cut out a piece of 3x3 stainless steel mesh to place over the pseudo plastic mesh molded into the grill and attached it for effect.
The grille unpainted doesn't look too bad - black is, afterall, black. I'm sure it will look better when it matches the rest of the car.
The stainless grill insert gives the Smallcar grill some contrast on an Ebony car. I know that the stainless insert would look better rotated 45 degrees, (just like the Caddilac V-series) but the strip of mesh I had to work with was narrow and this is all I could get out of it.
The pics aren't the best - I'll get some showing the entire car for effect, but this should give you some idea. Food for thought.

That looks good.

It ought to keep the snakes and alligators out of the engine compartment.

I was very underwhelmed with the Small Car grille. I didn't like the holes, but your stainless mesh looks pretty good. The contrast is nice, but I'm not convinced that such a contrast is well-suited to the overall look of the car. You might try painting it. ...or make a second one so you can just swap them out depending on the mood you're in.

I kept the pattern for the insert so making different ones out of different materials will be easy. I also know someone that does coatings, so I like the idea of getting the stainless mesh coated graphite or black; I'll keep playing til I get the look that I want. Thanks for the input.
