Rebuild Power Steering Pump?

Last week my power steering went out completely. I hear a loud knocking sound from the pump. This past weekend I took off the tank assembly to check the O ring only to find that it looked newer than the ones I picked up at Pep Boys.
So it appears that I need a new pump or have the pump rebuilt. I was just curious if anyone had their PS pump rebuilt instead of dishing out 430 to the dealer?

Yes, I did it myself and the parts were less than $50. As long as there isn't any damage to the pump body internally or the cartridge assembly, it shouldn't cost you much to rebuild either.

You can get an OK rebuilt pump from places like rockauto.com for approx $100.
