Exhaust dimensions?

Anyone know the pipe diameter(s) of the stock exhaust system? The most critical number right now is the size of the pipes going into and out of the first pair of cats, but at some point for my exhaust project (details later, after I have a full plan of execution for my idea) I will need the size of these pipes in addition to the ones I already requested:
1. After the third (center) cat
2. After the muffler

The first number I could really use by this evening, but the rest can wait until my car is fixed. I just need the first sizes so I can see what hi-flow cats I can get for my car (replacing them with the OEM ones is going to run me close to $1000, whereas aftermarket universal fit hi-flows will be about $200-400).

Thanks in advance!

Sure

What's it worth to you?

My exhaust system is laying next to my car. I'll see what I can do this weekend.

I don't know about before the third cat, but after it, everything is 60 mm ID which is just a hair under 2.5" ID.

Coming out: about 1 5/8" outside diameter

Had to be some odd numbers at the first cats, didn't it... well, I guess I will either have to get the stock ones (not my first choice) or have someone put an adapter at one end or the other. Just to be certain, that means its larger going into the first cats than it is coming out? That seems like a restriction, maybe that could be an opportunity for upgrade. Thanks everyone, at least I have an idea what I'm up against now.

Exhaust....

Well I'm in the midst of an exahust project myself. Currently I'm running:

2" pipe from the collectors to a Y-pipe. Out of the Y is 2.5" back to a magnaflow hi-flow cat then 2.5" to a magnaflow Camaro/Firebird muffler with dual outlets.

It's a bit too loud currently so we are going to be installing a resonator 18" from Magnaflow in between the cat and muffler. Hopefully this will quiet it down. We may start marketing this exhaust if it works well for us.

Mike-
I had one very similar and I'd bet the farm that you will love it.

Yep so far it's got plenty of power, only problem is that it's loud as hell above 2500rpms. So we are hoping the resonator in there will tone down the sound. It pulls like you wouldn't believe though especially >3000rpms.

Got any dyno testing done with your exhaust Paisan? I've got my own ideas for a custom system, but it might take me longer to develop than I'd really like to have my car out of commission for, so if yours works, I might be interested in doing something like it. As it turns out most of my exhaust system needs to be replaced, so I will be doing something major after I get the trans replaced, and I'd like it to be a performance system when I'm done.

Hey, I see you are in NJ!

That's great I'm over in Staten Island, and hang over in NJ all the time. I actually had it done at a shop out on rte 22. My buddy in Clark does almost all my work.

No dyno #s other than seat of the pants.

But once it's finished, I can let you give it a try, currently it's way way too loud.

Here's what I measured

Front section - manifolds to first cat -48.5mm
Mid-section - joined cat to resonator - 61.5mm
Resonator to muffler - 61.5mm

All measurements are O.D.

The resonator itself measures 17.5" end to end. It is not a rectangular section. It quickly flares to 7" wide at the inlet and then gradually opens to 8" wide near the exit before quickly tapering back down. It is 3" thick.
