RX8 wheels

Does anyone have a photo of an SVX with RX-8 wheels? Also, will the 2009 RX-8 wheels fit the SVX?

Re: RX8 wheels

99% of RX-8's come with 18x8" wheels with a +50mm offset. So if the early model wheels fit, the '09 wheels will fit as well.

The '09 RX-8 R3 models comes with 19x8" wheels with a +47mm offset iirc.

Re: RX8 wheels

As you can see from Bill's post, the wheels fit just fine. They have a 50mm offset, and a centerbore of 67.1mm

Also, 2000ish outback center caps fit in them perfectly.

Re: RX8 wheels

They sure look perdy! Does anyone have experience with these wheels and Dayle's drop springs? My current wheel's offset was terrible with the drop springs and has destroyed my fender linings. Anyone with a picture of these wheels with the green svx? Dont own photoshop yet

I have the motorsport springs on my car with the RX8 wheels. The bad news is, I installed the wheels about 2 months ago, but haven't driven the car since then, so I can't post any results. Once the snow melts I will let you know!

What rims do you have on yours currently?

Tim

The windows aren't tinted, but I agree, they sometimes look like they are. I'd like to put a 35% tint on them though.

Re: RX8 wheels

My wheels are Alt's, not sure which model name but here is a photo. In order for them to clear my brakes I had to do some light grinding of the calipers with an angle grinder, just to shave a minuscule amount off the front edge. Then I had to use some wheel spacers, but I do not know the thickness. I now know that they were not the best choice since they require the spacers, but I needed wheels right then and I wont point any fingers but I was told they would fit. They look decent, but I would not recommend them if you have drop springs due to the occasional rubbing. I will post a photo of them on my SVX soon.

Given that the box says 16 x 7, they must have significant offset to require spacers. Our stock rims are ~16 x 7.5 with 55mm (?) offset.

I did not take that picture, so that may not be the wheels box. My stock tires did fit on these rims so I believe they would be 7.5"
