Exhaust Shop in D.C. Area?
I am looking to get a complete custom exhaust made from a reputable shop in the D.C. area, anyone know of any? Thanks in advance, Chris

These guys...
were close to me when I lived in Herndon, VA and they know their stuff. Do alot of work on Evos/STIs/WRXs. Can build any kind of exhaust system you want....

If you want to come a little farther south - roughly 15 minutes off the Beltway down Rte 4, I'd recommend "Insane Exhaust" - they did the work on my SVX. Very clean and resonably priced.

Now that my son has the pearlie with the 4.44 gears, he wanted an exhaust system that made his SVX sound as good as it ran.
We went down to Tony's Custom Exhaust in Glen Burnie. They replaced the stock muffler with a Transverse-mount Flowmaster 80 #42583 (single 2.5" in, dual 2.5" out) going into Magnaflow dual-wall, stainless quad tips.  The Svx had the original resonator removed and a straight pipe welded in. I may have another resonator put back in to get rid of any resonance issues. but so far he loves it!! A nice low rumble at idle. he hasn't turned his stereo on since the install  Tony's did a beautiful job in installing it. They even painted all of the new pipes with high-temp flat black for a clean look. More photos of the exhaust setup are in my locker. http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/user.php?svxcess|39693 Tony is also familiar with my 96 polo and said that we could put these same tips on my stock muffler. He would cut off the 1 3/4" pipes at the stock muffler, open up the holes to 2" and weld 2" pipes into it. A simple 90-degree bend and then attach the tips. .

Resonator options: Help please
Having driven my son's pearlie with his new Flowmaster 80, I do not like the resonance that he has between 2500 and 3000 rpm. He has all 3 cats in place, no resonator (just a straight pipe) and back to the Flowmaster.
If I wanted to get rid of the annoying resonance, while keeping that deep tone he loves, what kind of resonator should I go with? 1. I can install a Magnaflow 4" straight-through muffler, which they say is reversable to fit your needs. They also come in 6" as well. 2. I could install a glasspack or something similar. 3. I could install another stock SVX resonator in the same spot it once was. I am sure there are members who have them as spare parts that are in good condition. This seams ideal since it was designed for the SVX. Any advice would be helpful. As I said, he doesn't want to lose the sound volume and tone; just wants to even it out a bit and eliminate the resonance. .

I think thats flowmasters loudest muffler. all the resonators in the world wont quite that thing

I'm not really interested in quieting it down. I just want to eliminate the 2500-3000rpm droning resonance.
