Re: Ac problems

If the freon has leaked out to cause it to become low, the compressor will not engage as a safety measure, Could be something as simple as deteriorated o-rings and a simple recharge.

When was the last time it was charged and/or operated normally?

You checked the 10A fuse under the hood? Do the lights on the climate control panel work and do you have the fan speeds?

Re: Ac problems

I tried to charge the system today
It has already been converted to r-134a I got some freon autozone and it would only take about a quarter of a can because compressor wouldn't turn on to allow it to circulate any suggestions would be great thanks again for the help Aaron

Try pulling codes from the climate control unit and see what comes up.

Did you fill it from the "high" side or the "low" side? Some useful info here: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57769

Re: Ac problems

That's the sensor inside the white plastic box under the dash on the passenger side of the car. You would need to let the freon out again to remove the box. The sensor is either defective or not plugged in. When I got that error the sensor had a poor connection.
