Who's running no Cats on their SVX?

If so, are you running stock muffler? How does that sound and effect HP/TQ?

Also, if you are running aftermarket mufflers I like to hear from you about HP/TQ gains/losses as well as sound.

I ran no cats for about 2 weeks on KC (Magnaflow) exhaust. I had a terrible resonant buzz at low-mid RPM. I definitely do not recommend it.

Same here, no cats w/stebro a little louder but a big loss in low end.

Ran no cats with stock muffler and it sounded awful. Bzzzzzzz.

Ran no cats with flowmaster and it sounded great but way too loud.

Ended up with no cats, a glasspack, and the flowmaster. Sound file in my locker.

I don't have any hp numbers but the buttometer and competing against the wife's stock svx says I lost some low end and gained some high end.

No cats, 1 7/8" OD tubes coming off the manifolds merging into 2 5/8" OD main pipe, main pipe has a large expansion chamber. Excellent throttle response, but nasty mid-range resonance at 3000-4000 rpm. Nice improvement in overall HP/TQ. Check my locker for Mr. Dyno HP/TQ curves.

Removed front cats....Installed 1 high flow cat in the middle of car and installed a Hooker muffler made for a F-Body (Camaro/Trans Am). ...........LOUD! Can't sneak up on anybody and people always follow the car with their eyes just to see if I'm going to accelerate hard so they can hear the exhaust.

that's because your stock muffler is damaged ! i had the same experience before my exhaust system now, no cats, twin piping, two cherries in the middle and two performance exhausts in the back... the sound, mmm, can i say Impreza turbo?
