SVX bug bit me again...20 years on

Greetings all. Joined a while back, don't think I've ever posted here.

I had a '96 Lsi bought new off the showroom floor for about a year before heading off to the Navy.

Retired now and have had a few of fun cars in between. I currently own a shop focused on the BMW V-10 M5 and M6 in every respect from engine builds, FI conversions, tuning OEM and standalone ECUs, and SMG transmission refurbishment.

Something lately has been really making me itch to pick up an SVX. I found one a bit of a drive away that needs some trans work (dropping out of gear, it's a '92). I would love to have a 6MT in that car, my auto worked well enough, but really prefer a manual. The car has little to no rust, but obviously needs drivetrain help.

I haven't made the final decision yet, but if I go through with it I'm looking forward to hanging out here a bit and learning.

Cheers,
-Jim

There are a couple good examples with a manual in them up for sale. One is Gene's in FL and other is a guy in DC. Both have a good deal amount of work to them as well.
