Key removal?

I can take out the ignition key when the car is running. Is that normal or just a cool feature on my SVX?

Your key is worn out. Get a new one cut soon.

And cut it from your VIN rather than your worn out copy.

No need to use the vin.

There's a little number on your original key that the dealer can use to cut the new one.

A dealer can cut a new one from the VIN as well. Write the number down when you get it if you don't have it. It may save you some time in the future.

Thank you all.

I do not have any original keys so I will give the VIN a shot. The key still works fine in the door lock and I hope the lock cylinder isn't bad.
