Speedo correction box fitted. New stero (gave up on the old one). Back seat removed and 2 spare tyres fitted for desert driving. ECUTune SC sitting in the box for the next SVX. 1992 - SVX 255 K Wife (Want to stay Married so not allowed to fit SC) 1992 - SVX Pearl with black roof race car roll cauge etc ready to race. Ex Tasman Targa car. 1995 - SVX Green low k mint condiation. 1995 - SVX Rally car, ex Matts car. Now to be used on track. 1992 - SVX red & Black being converted to Mid Engine. 1995 - SVX Red 143,000 bit rough. Owned 5 others Subaru back to a 1974 1400 GSR. My list shows the SVX wheelbase / track ratio is a little nasty compared to the modern day supercars, there's no "forgery" of the data like you suspect - look them all up yourself if you don't believe me. I can also say without a doubt, the longer wheelbase cars are harder to turn in and have a tendancy to understeer easier. I've owned the Liberty, Impreza, Outback and SVX... love them all but I call a spade a spade. A super kart for example almost square and will do laps as quick as V8 supercars, extremely nimble and also all a little unstable. Adding wheel base increases stability but reduces turning ability - EXACT same again as ski's, snow boards, boats, yatch's etc. Ever been on a short 1 foot ski at the snow?! Extremely easy to turn but extremely unstable. You need to find the optimal setup for that car. With Subaru AWD - shorter is proven to be better over the last 20 year. There will be a case of to short is bad of course but you'd need to be making some major reductions to get there. |
