I couldn't wait for the BRZ to come out. The next car would have still been subie had they hurried up

Re: BRZ vs Miata

Quote- That depends on how you've adjusted the seat from the owner's position. This is another shortcoming of the BRZ - 6,000 projected available?

Incidentally, Miatas are also available today... End quote.

And how many SVXi did they make per year? Eh? There were plenty of those to go around.

Re: BRZ vs Miata

Anybody else notice the compression ratio? 12.5:1 that's nice. With direct injection gasoline engines (2 and 4 stroke) starting to make headway I wonder if in 20 or 30 years the BRZ will be in the same boat as the SVX, I mean back in her day 10:1 was HIGH.

Re: BRZ vs Miata

I'm 99% sure that I will pre-order a BRZ this weekend. 1% is deciding what color.

Gonna retire the svx from daily driver duty at 300k.
I will hit 297k tomorrow.

Well, sure, but you'd hope that the interest in the BRZ will be more substantial than that of the SVX in its era!

I hope it's every bit as awesome as is expected.

The article's comparison is a bit of a desperation measure, though - there's nothing any shade of close in the market otherwise.

I just hope that...

Re: BRZ vs Miata

Is anyone going to hold off judgement on the BRZ until they see what the Scion Fr-s is all about?

I'd be more interested in a comparison between these two.
