but they stopped making svx's in 97, so this grille is for 1 year only ?!
i hope i can find one for mine when if i get it.

Yup, less than 700 cars came with them from the factory. They aren't too hard to find. And not that expensive, considering what Subaru charges for a lot of other parts. But then you have to get it painted. There was also the chrome S4 grill on some JDM ones. Search it on the site, you'll like that one.

Dayle has them for $185.00 HERE

The OEM part number for the the 97 grille is 91065PA050NN. It comes unpainted and runs about $140.00 plus shipping from subaruparts.com. It uses the grille clips from your old grille.

It's funny you mention that because everyone who's seen this car thinks it's supposed to be that way, even the body shops I went to thought it was three colors
