Nate's in town again.

Had a mini-mini-meet tonight. Nate is in from Wisconsin, delivering a car to OT's. Brett, Jenny, a non-member SVX driver and his friend TJ and I stopped by for a proper welcoming. A few beers, some old auto-cross VHS tapes, etc.
It was a good tuesday night.

Re: Nate's in town again.

Letitsnow and I just left Nate in beautiful Binghamton, NY. I think he could build an SVX with what he has stored in the minivan.

Where will he pop up next.......

Re: Nate's in town again.

Good to see Dave and Tony & son, and to re-meet Nate! You look at his itinerary, and you wonder how somebody can drive crazy miles with a van full of SVX parts. Turns out, travel's in his blood, Wisconsin is not number one for cheese production, and he genuinely likes doing what he's doing on these trips; the smiles are worth the miles.

for the stuff that'll make my car make me . Thanks, Nate!

Re: Nate's in town again.

Lots of laughs in here.
And whatever works. Glad to see everyone so far as I said in my other post. And looking forward to see the rest.

Conn, I'm not sure if I have a phone number for you.
If you're able to text, my cell is (920)nine80-two17 seven
Otherwise, I'll talk to Brad who still has your number possibly? I'm going to see if I can get up that way either Friday, early afternoon, or else possibly Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I'll try to keep you posted as much as I possibly can. just depends on how things go but I'll definitely try to make it up that way.

Now, if you want to really make it interesting, we could do the whole six degrees of seperation thing (Will Smith movie from several years ago)

I once visited the studio of an artist that was commissioned to do work by Pope John Paul II for the Vatican. So I had two degrees of seperation from the Pope which means I had three degrees of seperation from all the world leaders that met with the Pope (Reagan, Bush Sr., Bush Jr., Clinton, Gorbachev (sp?), Queen Elizabeth, and so on). But I actually have two degrees of seperation to Clinton, Bush Jr and Obama because I have one degree of seperation (have met) Geno Auriemma, the coach of the UConn women's basketball team which has been to the White House 7 times since 1995. If you can trace it to six degrees you would be amazed at the people you have come into indirect contact with.

Re: Nate's in town again.

,

Cool.

Then all of us who were at the 10th Anniversary Meet in Lafayette are only two degrees away from the designer of the SVX, Giorgetto Giugiaro.

We met two of the original engineers there; Mr Harada and Mr Seo., who worked on the original SVX project in Japan.

One was on the engine development team and the other was on the styling refinement team (interior and exterior). I am sure they consulted directly with Giugiaro at various points in the process.
