Oxygen Sensors

All I've seen for plug and play type ones, have been close to $100 each(Bosch). Just found some that are only $50(NGK & NTK). Anyone know why such a difference in price? Is there any difference in them other than price?

I can get a pair of the NGK ones today from Advanced for $85. Should I get them? Seems cheap. They are have a 1 day only 15% off special.

Re: Oxygen Sensors

I need a pair too, have seen codes for both O2s pop up at one time or another. Let me know what you find.

Re: Oxygen Sensors

You can do a direct plug in aftermarket, a spliced in universal, or OEM. Here are some helpful links.

Re: Oxygen Sensors

I read this, and thought that Bosch would be the way to go.

http://www.autohausaz.com/html/emiss...n_sensors.html

I just ordered a pair of them from advanceauto.com for $152. They had 15% off 1 day special. Saved $27.

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...S_614206933___

Should have them in sometime next week. I'll let everyone now how it goes.

Re: Oxygen Sensors

I bought the NGK/NTK 24614 sensors or my 1996LSi

They were $49.00 each with a lifetime warranty

The Bosch 13250 was $80.00 each, with a one year warranty

The Denso 2343083 was almost $100.00, with a 90 day warranty.

Seems that NGK/NTK is the major supplier for most of the OEM sensors. Since Subaru thought enough of the SVX to use NGK plugs as OEM, I figured I could not go wrong.

Did you use the same model sensor for all 3 positions or did you only replace the front 2 sensors?

Re: Oxygen Sensors

I replaced only the third (rear) sensor after the main cat. The part numbers are all the same for the pre cats as well.

John, just to clarify the Bosch 13250 that I normally use cost $89.99 as seen online using your link.
I don't want anyone to think that when I charge $90.00 apiece for them that I am ripping people off.
I have some NGKs ordered, and plan to try them soon.

Re: Oxygen Sensors

As a sidenote I don't recall ever seeing a Subaru that didn't run an NGK plug from the factory.
