Re: What do you think of my new wing?

Come on guys, do you think for a second I would take all that time shaving and smoothing the car out to make it more sleek and then put that horrible thing on it?

The thing has been kicking around the shop for a while, some crackhead needed $5 really bad and offered us the wing, it was worth it just for the comedy value of it. It was meant to fit an early 4th generation Camaro, it looks just as hideous on one of those as well.

I haven't decided if the stock one is going back on or if I am going to go with no wing. I have two decklids, on with factory holes and one without, so I could just paint them both and run each one for a week and decide which I like more.

Also, I was wondering if anyone had a source for a reasonably good reproduction of the JDM wing, I kinda like that one.

I think I have 3 left wheels and a right on that car or maybe it is 3 rights and a left. It was that way when I bought it, I have a full set on my parts car, without that horrible Duplicolor crap on them.

Though, some aftermarket wheels might end up on it.

LOL. I missed this post. I actualy got a REAL jdm wing from japan (including shipping and all) for less money than the motorsport warehouse reproduction. They're out there on the internets.

Re: What do you think of my new wing?

Well, what would be considered a "good" price? There is one on eBay for about $300 shipped, I would rather not spend that much.

Re: What do you think of my new wing?

Elliot, since you haven't yet sprayed the car, I suggest you check the wing on the prototype SVX and try to duplicate it. It is approx similar to the one you did only lower. Can someone please post its pic to Elliot?

JDM rear spoiler looks best for a stock spoiler but I do also like the 1989 prototype verson

Re: What do you think of my new wing?

Sorry, I think it would look better on the front of a Mack Truck.

But I don't like any wing that tall. And anything with that much activity in the style is going against the smooth of the SVX anyway.

Re: What do you think of my new wing?

As always, I vote for the stock spoiler or even better the 89 concept style even over the JDM and definitely over no spoiler. No spoiler makes it look like a Ford Probe.

In case you haven't seen the concept design a pic is provided.

Thanks. Yes I like the way this one flows with the lines of the car.
I do not have the spoiler, and I do think it looks better with one.

I really like that one, does anyone make a copy or would this be something I would have to make myself?

Re: What do you think of my new wing?

Couple more shots of concept car(s).

These have been posted many times, but the newbies may have never found them.
