Surprised to not see more turbocharged SVX's around.
I find it odd as well. It is really not that hard, and runs quite well. you would think more people would jump on the wagon after the first one is done. If anyone is interested Dynotuned Performance will provide full fabrication and install based off my kit.

I'll have my turbo project started up before long, I need to find me a transmission and build up the motor before then though. I'll keep my eye on your thread, I've already checked you How-To to se how you tapped the oil pan for return.

1-3rd gear are scary....it gets a bit heat soaked towards then end of third. My oh my.

ECUTune 2v7 works awesome. I have a 6:1 RRFPR and its running quite rich but wow. Not sure why other people had issues with it. Timing feels good and I get no knock at 9lbs. Yes, 9lbs. I did not switch the Wastegate.

Some more pictures of the rig

Still utilizing 2v7F, I have relocated the z32 to a boost tube directly before the custom plenum. the IAC is also routed to the boost side. The car idles better, and obviously no longer stalls when coming off throttle as the meter is after the bypass valve

Very nice. I don't think I've ever seen a car converted to a blow through MAF before.

Re: Back on the beat - Phast's turbo SVX gets some love

DID SOMEONE SAY RECORDING?!?!?!?

YES PLEASE!

I would like a good quality recording of the sound of both cars, and POV movies from within the car demonstrating just how fast these machines go. Size be damned - slap the files on a DVD and post it. Get heaps of footage with a decent microphone, take the time to do it right (not some clown bouncing around in the back of the car giggling like an idiot zooming in out-of-focus on random stuff like my buddy did ). I'll happily PayPal twenty Aussie bucks to whatever you like if it's an awesome disc I can sit in my lounge room and enjoy.

Given the current political relationship with the Minister For Finance, this is as close as I'll get to forced induction.

Whoa! I did not notice this before. Yeah, it's a different approach. Usually, air is sucked through the Maf, not blown.

....Just checked a website or two and blow through setups don't seem uncommon. In some cases, it is superior, especially if you have a BOV going back into the intake, before the maf.

I just thought that the pressurized air would cause misreadings or damage the maf sensor. Nothing to back this up though.

Not only is she Minister For Finance, she's also Minister For Internal Affairs and Minister For Diplomatic Relations.

Unfortunately, blowing the Finance budget would cause the "Forced Induction" to be "forcibly inducted" into my Internal Affairs, followed by a breakdown in Diplomatic Relations...

...and as much hot air as I can generate with my own body, I'm still pretty sure I can't make more than 2psi boost - not to mention I can't match the increased respiration with a larger intake of food to burn.

Hilarious stuff guys

Ya...blow through works great. My throttle response is much better. It idles around 800, but nothing to worry about and that may learn out here as I get more miles on it.

Stayed tuned. The SVX will be getting drunk and going to the dyno soon enough.
