2002 wrx radio?
Would a wrx 6 cd player fit in an svx? Like this one

Needs a harness to connect to the stock plug. Need to trim a little inside the cage (back portion) and trim out two grooves for the knobs on the bottom. I have one of these I am not using so if you don't win that one let me know

Thanks Tom I'll keep that in mind.
I looked in the how to and it said we needed a special plug. I typed in the address and it don't look like its still available. What could or should I do?

contact svxdc via pm or post a thread for him he makes the harness you need or can make it for you. I have bought some from him and they ALL have worked perfectly. the name might be wrong in spelling but someone should be able to correct me. if the link you used was not a geocities/svxdc.com ( i think) then you need to use it you WONT be sorry

although its cheap, i'd go with an aftermarket stereo over the WRX one, especially if you want to use an MP3 player, Bluetooth, etc. even a cheap aftermarket unit will have way more features than the WRX unit.

Thanks, Tom I emailed him. I got two concerns.
First I noticed that theres two different sockets on the back of the 2002 6 cd changer. I know that the longer one is the the plug that comes stock harness with the wrx. But what is the smaller boxed one? Another words look at the second picture on this ebay one. The socket to the left is the one I'm asking about. What's it for? Second, the power antenna. Is the wrx radio compatible with it?

Personally the 03 Lego GT weatherband 6 disk looks much better than the WRX radio, fits better (door shuts without any changes to it), has a weatherband which I don't think the WRX has, plus is a very similar green. It even has a dim/bright feature though it works by holding the volume control in... I'm sure a wiring person could figure out how to tie it into the SVX stalk. There are some pics from the install I did in the mod section if you search.
