Hmm thanks for the input guys. It's funny though because that grinder looks almost identical to the one I have, but in orange.

To whoever has one of the Harbor Freight ones, how "torquey" is it? The one I just burnt out would come to a stop if I put the littlest bit of pressure on it.

I don't think mine has ever binded up??? If it has, it was while cutting through thick metal, not surface grinding....

I'm thinking this might be a reason Subaru didn't follow through with the design from the show cars. I don't know anything about molding fiberglass, but it seems like a 1 piece trunk lid and spoilder would be very hard to do and work intensive. They already had enough work intensive items on the car like the glass.

Plus, they got to offer the option of spoiler or not spoiler, which the other way would require two seperate trunk lides rather than just a bolt on spoiler.

O it will do what you need it to. We were grinding rust off metal and we had to apply some force to it ^^ I think it will work for what you need it too.

If I can get this done by Reading it will be for sale. If anybody's interested make some offers. If I do sell it and get the buyers trunk w/ wing in return, I'd take some $$ off the selling price.

Just some food for thought.

It's power is on par with that of more expensive units. When applying full force to the grinder it will bog down a bit, but is not going to slow to an unusable speed.
