Wow that is fantastic to see someone take the time to keep a classic like that alive, does anyone know who's car it was, I'm guessing from the paint it was Juha Kankkunen???

Brings back a great memory, I dove the identical works car that Bjorn Waldegard rallyed in group B Wrc in the 1986 series in 1989 at a track day event.
The car was out of this world the handling and power was simply mind blowing, even nowdays its still a magical car, they were between 360 to 390 BHP but have such a fantastic feel & balence its like its a part of you once you get into the groove.

Well bought a smile to my face today, Im gonna dig out the pics next time I go to my dads
Thanks for posting it up

Darren.

I know at least 1 of the works cars went to the middle east and was bought by Mohammed Bin Sulayem who won the Middle East Rally Championship with it in 86,87.88 & I think also 89.

The 1 that was restored is still on its origional TTE (German) registration plate and was the works car in 84/85 for Hong Kong-Bejjing, Safari and Ivory Coast rallies.
