I just got home from a GREAT weekend that started about noon on Friday

Definitely the best Reading I've been at. Next year is going to be even BETTER.

Thanks to everyone who came out, and everyone who had any part of the planning. It was great to see some old friends and meet some new folks.

My pictures (~150 of 'em) are uploading right now, I'll post in the "Picture" thread when they're all up.

What a great time! It was good to meet everybody. Big thanks to everyone who pitched in to get my car up and running again.

More later... the missus is hailing me for dinner!

What a friggin' BLAST! I had a ball(other than sunburn and sore feet) and I'm glad everyone else did too. It was great to see all of you and hang out and I look forward to doing it again. I miss it already.

Well, it is over and I had a great time. I am on my way home and still have a smile on my face from the great meet. Reading is a meet not to be missed. Everyone involved with planning it and helped out did a great job and really made the meet. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope some of you can come out west and enjoy our hospitality sometime.

Well I only stayed for Saturday. It was a total blast and what an experience to meet all the people that drive SVX or have SVX in their hearts.

BIG MAD props to Tom (svxfiles) for strongly encouraging me to attend. I got to drive his supercharges SVX. OMFG I am still smiling about that one. Ya I drove it like I stold it.

SUPER BIG MAD props to young Tom(TomsSVX) for having a SVX for me to drive, letting me help a little on a repair job, and his company. What a wealth of knowledge for a young man. Thanks A.B.

I got to meet Earl, Randy and his wife, Diana, Larry and his wife too. I also meet this ravishing brunette, boy can she drive a SVX. <--No skirt here

I hope all made or make it home safe and now I need to go take care of my sun burn.

Steve

p.s. the swing set is 95% complete. still waiting on the SVX badge

glad to hear you got the swing set workin.... The meet monster bit my ass nice and hard today...

1st- earl's 92 4.11 sprung a leak from one of the tranny cooler lines so we had to do a last minute fix on the old girl before I would let the car go anywhere.

2nd- It's Just Eric's red 96 blew a rad hose all the way in Jersey on it's way back which we needed to go and fix as well...

Not that it was all that bad, just unfortunate thats all.

Steve, it was great to finally meet you and anytime you are out this way, feel free to stop by. I really appreciate your help, without it, who woulda gotten that darn crank sprocket off?? anyway, if you need anything for your svx to get her back... let me know and I will do my best to help ya out

Tom

Reading VIII was a blast!!! - as usual. This car holds a wide range of people together. So great to see old friends and meet some new ones!
Many thanks to Young Tom, Dave and all others that helped put the meet together. And John H. for securing the hotel AGAIN this year! people will have to remember to get their reservations in early next year - John can't stand the stress!
Seeing Earl from the Northwest Region was the greatest. Glad to have you join us, Earl - wait until you see the pics If they weren't so good, I could use them to blackmail you for one of your "babies". And of course, there are "other pics" of "other" people that could also be used, but ........ but we won't, of course. We'll just "post them all".
And thanks to Old Tom- for getting my new Pearly squared away so I could drive it to Reading this year!!

But it is late and I need to go "recover" from the weekend.

Harry

Tom and I just went out and got a couple Philly Cheese Steaks and are nursing our sun burns! I am sure it was the drinks we consumed which made us more senstive to the sun. But I still have a smile on my face after meeting all of the great people again - some new and some old friends from many years. That is what makes this car so special.

John - start the count down clock for next year.

It was really great to meet you Earl. I've waited a long time for the day to have a drink and conversation with you. I look forward to doing it again as soon as possible. It's always great to see all of you anytime possible. I'll be having a meet in July for barbeque at the park, and then the first Saturday of every November from now on will be a meet at Dragway 42 for my Birthday(weather permitting). Hope alot of you can make it this year! I'd love to see 30 SVX's filling up half the parking lot of the local metro park.

I am so glad the weather was great for you guys.
And here I thought I would have better weather on vacation in the desert SW. Boy was I wrong! It's been not much out of the 50's for the past two days, where we've been, except for Saguaro Nat'l Park. Yet again, I've packed shorts when I can't wear them!

Maybe some year soon I can bring Penny to her first Reading.

Too Short a party, too long a drive ~:o)

Shari and I made it home around 10:30 P.M. Local time -- another great 12.5 hour drive (despite a missed turn and some backtracking in Columbus). Obviously we're safe and sound, although a fellow in a blue Equinox almost ran us off the road (accidentally...I think) between Cinci and Louisville.

I would thank everyone who needs to be thanked and acknowledge everyone who needs to be acknowledged but, my eyes are unable to focus right now. I'll post more tomorrow (I've taken the next two days off to recover) when I can take my time....when I can get my memory back. By the way, have you seen it? I think someone snuck into my room last night and took it from my head.

Definitely one of, if not the best of the 8 Readings --- and I should know. THANK YOU, EVERYONE FOR MAKING IT A GREAT TIME!

Okay, now I'm rambling -- I gotta go to bed. G'night -- er-- morning.
