1) The reflection of the cans on the paint is perfect

I suspect these mods have nothing to do with looks and everything to do with functionality. The full-size spare and jerry cans of fuel suggest the owner routinely travels over marginal roads and/or in very sparsely populated areas. A compliment to the car, actually, that somebody would enlist it for such service.

Look like chrome plated shovels to me. I guess thats to dig it out if needed.

maybe I'm just used to seeing stuff like this on a regular basis. We have a term.. it is "Gloucester Truck" We've got lots of huge tire awd mudders as daily drivers. Many have been turned into convertables, have lots of can on em, and every three or four are loaded with a highlift jack, a shovel or two, and an axe for trees.

I was saying shovels because I imagine he needs to dig it out of sand often.
