Troublesome Trany

another day another transmision problem it started slipping about a week ago and i was just about to adjust the brake bands but needed a smaller wrench and on the way to get it the trany felt like it just fell into nutrual but it was in D so i put it in 3 and no luck but 1 and 2 grab and hold. except when starting from a dead stop under light acceleration with the shifter in D it will Start in 1st then shift to 2nd stay there for a couple seconds then it feels like nutruel the revs go up to somewhere around 4000 and its like its back in first if i dont floor board it from there it wont wind out into second then i max 2nd then it feels like it just lets loose.
But if i put the shifter in second it doesnt slip between 1st and 2nd but still no 3rd or 4th.
I checked for codes theres no power light and no debries in trany fluid smell alitle funk but not terible i suspect the high clucth but iam not positive.
Help ME!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it does look like the high clutch is slipping. Have you removed the trans pan to clean the oil pick-up screen.
