quik svx question

hey guys its your old friend james, looks like i found a gem of a svx, a 92 with only 37k on it in pearl white, he is asking a little too much for it but im hoping he will come down

my question is, can some one tell me the exact width of the car from outside tire to outside tire so if i can know it will fit in my dads trailer,, the wrx will fit but little room to play with and i think the svx sits wider,

I'm not sure about the tire-tire width, but the FSM says the car itself is 69.7" wide.

If no one gives you an exact measurement by the time I get home from work (around 7pm), I'll measure it in my driveway. However, understand the measurements I'll give are going to be ~1/2" wider than a SVX on stock wheels, as my RX-7 wheels are 8" wide and have an offset of +50mm.

thanks guys,, i just need the outside to outside tire widths it has to clear the wheel well humps,, the trailer is 8 fett wide and 24 feet long enclosed

I just measured the distance between the outside front tires on my 96 SVX, with stock rims and tires.

That distance measures 68.5"

It's hard to believe that the width of the car is only 1/2" wider on each side than the tire track. When you look at it you can really see the lack of overhang. The edge of the wheel well and the edge of the tire are really close.

If it's a little too close, you could always mount a couple of spares tires as front wheels...

yea thats another great idea,,

the guys asking 7,000$ for a 92 svx with 37k on it but the kbb is 3,800$ and nada is 4,200$ so he is asking too much for it, i offered 6500$ cash he turned it down

Measured the distance from the outside of each of the front tires on my SVX with 16x8" RX-7 wheels (+50mm offset), 225/50/16 tires and -0.5 degrees of camber:

The distance measured 70.25"

the trailer is 80" wide so it will fit but the guy isnt lowering his price !!!! i offered him 6,700 cash !!! for a car thats KBB is only 3,800 !!
